I've been tagged by my uber interesting blogpal Katy and I have had to come up with 10 interesting things about me... This actually took a lot of thought, and I'm not sure it's all that interesting but here goes:
1. I sing all of the time. I can't even seem to help myself on this one. I sing in the shower, in my car, while shopping, at work. The really bad part about this is that I really stink at singing. I'm not tone deaf or anything, but I seriously lack any real singing ability.
2. I once lost 40 lbs doing Weight Watchers. A year after I had The Bean, I still hadn't made it out of my maternity wear, so I tried Weight Watchers and it was completely easy... I should probably do this one again, but I'm trying to do more of a eating habit/ lifestyle change; wish me luck, I'm going to need it.
3. I stick my foot in my mouth all of the time. I am so bad at this one. I don't mean any harm, and I'm usually making some kind of joke that no one seems to get but me. It's kind of sad when I think about it, because I think I piss other people off on a regular basis. I feel, one day, though, that there will be someone (besides D) who actually gets my quirky jokes.
4. I really like moving. I'm serious on this one. I love picking up and moving somewhere totally new. I love getting to know a new place and trying to come to terms with the differences I see. In fact, we've only been in GA for a year, and I'm itching to move again. Not that GA is bad, but I've grown bored in our area and I'm ready for something new. I think D is glad that I'm like this about where I live and not at about who I'm with. :)
5. I love video games. I really have to watch myself on this 'cause I can play video games for days without stopping if I let myself. The games I love the most are The Sims 2 on PC (I just love my little people who obey my every command, almost) and Guitar Hero III on the Wii (I still haven't made it past medium, I stink.)
6. I possess no creative ability, but I have mad memorization skilz. I can memorize almost anything, and most of the time it's really dumb things. I still remember all of the phone numbers of all of my middle school friends. The guys at work make fun of me all of the time about it because they'll be discussing some issue that happened several years ago, and then ask me about the specifics and my weirdo brain actually retains it. Now unfortunately, this does not go accross the board. I never can remember where my cell phone, glasses, or keys are. I rarely remember what I did the day before, but if you ever need to know the statistics from some totally inane event that happened several years ago, I'm your gal!
7.I have 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Only one of them actually has the same two parents I do. 1 is from just my mom, 2 are from just my dad, and I have four step-siblings. Although, I was raised in the same house with all but the younger two from my dad, I have only remained in contact with 3 of my older siblings and I am not very close to any of them. It's hard sometimes, because it would be nice to have a close relationship with someone who has known me my entire life.
8. I have broken 36 bones in my body. I broke 8 of them in one under-rotation on the balance beam when I was 14. The others were broken in various ways which usually involved me doing something totally stupid. The worst break was while I was in the military, and not from doing some cool military manuever either. I got food poisoning, I was walking, passed out, and fell with all my weight on my elbow. It broke off and I had to have several surgeries to repair it. I couldn't even touch my face for like six months and all my dumb Army buddies called me Bob Dole. How lame is that?
9. I have a severe aversion to mustard. The smell of mustard makes me gag; it always has. I had one brother who loved mustard and would put it on everything. He would then sit next right next to me so that I could smell it and ruin my apetite. If I accidentally eat food with mustard in it (baked beans, or if a drop makes it onto my burger bun) I vomit. Unfortunately, The Bean loves mustard. Luckily, she's gotten old enough to put it on her own food, so that I can continue to avoid it as much as possible.
10. I get nervous in social settings. I don't know why... I've just always been shy and I start talking fast and I giggle a lot when I get nervous. Strangely, though, this does not convey to work. At work, I have no confidence issues and give tours, briefings, and hold large meetings all of the time. Speeches at large conferences haven't even bugged me all that much, but at the later 'meet & greets' I freeze up and become my true wallflower self. I don't get it, but I'm working on it.
Okay, so now I tag Lisa 'cause I would love to know more about her, Diane 'cause her blog cracks me up, & L 'cause she is the coolest Atlantian I know.
BTW, no court date yet... keep your fingers crossed for us.

I sing badly all the time, often somehow upset people by accident, and have the same not applicable to work persona social awkwardness issue(s)!!! Other than I like mustard, didn't break my elbow off, and don't have lots of siblings, I think we have a lot in common. I liked reading your list, thanks for playing. I'll be crossing my fingers and checking in hoping to see a court date soon.
LMAO... "coolest Atlantan you know? You don't get out much, do you? :o)
Do you hear that people? I'M COOL!
Okay, so if I were REALLY cool, I would not be such a geek about someone saying I was cool. Okay, I'll shut up now. :(
