It's been a rough couple of weeks, but it's been fun also. We are still unpacking. I am beginning to think that will never end.
Work has been pretty insane with really long hours most days. D has been a maniac in getting things in shape.
We have our golf cart now and it rocks. The Bean has loved going back and fourth to school and tennis lessons in it.
Last weekend we went to an adoption informational meeting with Children's Hope International. We are very certain that we will be using CHI and adopting from Ethiopia. We had initially thought we would adopt from China, but with all of the recent changes we beleive it will take a really long time. We then considered Kazakhstan, but the stay there is either extremely long or you have to make two trips. It is also very expensive. I still believe it is a really good program, but maybe not for us. Ethiopia is a relatively new program and there are millions upon millions of orphans who need homes. CHI will be selecting children to bring to the orphanage that they will run. It's a very different set up than the other countries. We are really excited about it. We are wanting to adopt a 3-5 year old girl, or a pair of siblings from 1-5 years of age. We are also very greatful that Ethiopia isn't as expensive as many of the other countries and the stay in country is ususally less than two weeks.
