So everything seems to continue flowing for the sell of the condo and buying the new house in PTC. We rushed, D especially, to get the house on the market and now the waiting is horrible. I want to be finished with all of it and get down to the nice warm weather. Although, I can't complain too much; we have had 60ยบ+ for several days now. This weekend we are expecting some cooler temps so that won't be fun.
This week hasn't been all bad. I had to work 16 hours on Monday to due almost losing one of the spacecraft, but once that was all settled they let me have yesterday off. It was the perfect day to have off because we did have such wonderful temperatures. I finally had enough time to get my eyes examined. Prescription hasn't changed, but I am showing signs of lattice degeneration. Oh well, I couldn't expect to stay perfect forever, HA.
Anyway, D and I have settled on Kazakhstan as the country from which we would like to adopt. The long stay will be difficult, especially being away from The Bean. In the end, it will be more than worth it. D is not looking forward to the paper chase, which we will begin upon arriving in PTC. For months now I regularly look at the photos on precious.org of all of the orphans. There is one little girl in particular that if at all possible I would love to add to our family. She looks like the sweetest most innocent litte thing I have ever seen. She is not quite a year older than The Bean, and is in an orphanage in Uzbekistan. Her name is Yanisa, you can read a little more about her here:

Unfortunately, when I called the adoption agency about her, they were not very optimistic about the possiblility of adopting specifically Yanisa. The woman on the phone had a very thick accent but said something about "bait and switch'. I am familiar with this terminology, but unsure how it applies here.
Anyway, only two more weeks in DC, and only 7 more days in the DC office. I am very excited.

I fell in love with Yanisa the first time I saw her little face (in April). I think about her often, and pray for her adoption. If I had the finances, I would do all in my power to bring her here. I was so pleased when I googled her again today and saw this posting. I will pray that your family is blessed with this little angel.
The family is choosing to remain anonymous ( I am not sure why ) but Yanisa is in the process of being adopted and should be home with her new family in the midwest by the end of the year.
