Yesterday was my last day at the DC office. It wasn't what I thought it would be. We were so rediculously busy, that I did not get to see more than half the people to which I wanted to say goodbye. Also, many of the payload guys were in Long Beach, so who knows when I will see them again.
There are so many things I will miss about working in the DC office. The building itself is so beautiful and contains some amazing artwork that was donated by the signatories (my favorite being the beautiful woven tapestry from China, least favorite the red telephone booth from Great Britain; how is a telephone booth art, anyway?)
I was able to say goodbye to a few of my friends. I cried a little on my way home, and of course did all of the second guessing on whether or not we are doing the right thing by leaving the DC area and going to Georgia.
Today I am excited and we have to get the house ready for the buyers to do their final walk through later.
