My house is finally getting back to normal after having D's family over for Christmas. Things were pretty crazy, and after everyone left it looked as if a cyclone had passed through our house. I feel blessed that there was very little drama, and although there were some major invasions of privacy, those that occured were limited to two individuals from whom I have come to expect such intrusions.
The Bean really loved having her cousins here and available for constant play. She was great with her younger cousins and loved when her older cousins doted on her.
At the moment, I am just happy to have survived... just kidding, sort of.

Things are moving along with our adoption. The agency received the our dossier before Christmas and has since reviewed it and sent it off to the State Department. They will notify us when it moves from there... I'm not completely clear as to where it will go next, but D is supposed to get some clarification this week.
On another note, I found out yesterday afternoon that I needed to go to Maryland on Monday. It should be cool; I'll be installing some new equipment and I will get to see a bunch of my colleagues that I haven't been able to hang out with for a while. I fly out Monday afternoon and will be flying back Friday morning. The Hawaii trip is still on course, and I completely got out of the packing and shipping of the equipment for the installation because of the Maryland trip (my manager will be doing it while I'm gone.) Yay Me!
Unfortunately, the Maryland trip also means that I will be out of town for my Birthday on Tuesday. 31 is no major milestone, so oh well. At least I should get a good free meal out of it.
