So last week really was amazing. The weather while we were down in Florida was absolutely fantastic and we took full advantage of it. It was really nice to have distractions. We were not supposed to go to FL until Wednesday night, but D had forgotten that The Bean had a tennis match scheduled for Friday. So, at first it looked as if we were going nowhere. Around noon on Monday D called to advise that The Bean had wanted and gotten a massive haircut (I'm still adjusting) and that they had managed to get another appointment taken care of that had been scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. He wanted to know if I could get the rest of the week off.
I lucked out and my bosses had noticed that I was off in LaLa Land due to looming Court Date, and did not at all mind that I wanted the rest of the week off (I swear normally I am a really good employee.)
So, I talked to Dad Nard and he agreed that Cait Nard could also go with us. I got home around 5, packed for the whole family, and we were heading to the Nard house by 7. The trip down was completely uneventful. The next day we went to the beach and the girls had a blast. The Bean always has fun, and it was even better with her best friend with her. Cait was really cute, because she had never been to the beach before and she absolutely loved it. The girls had decided not to wear their bathing suits, so by the time we were ready to leave their legs were getting chafed, so we stopped at a little beach shop and picked up cheap comfy outfits.
The outfits were such a huge hit that they begged me to wash them that night so they could wear them again. I did and they wore them the next day to Universal Studios. This was another first for Cait and again she loved it, although she is still not ready to greet people in animal costumes (this is a real phobia for her, she would shake and hide her head against me anytime someone in a Curious George or Grinch costume was within 100 feet.)
That night the girls begged again for the matching outfits to washed and ready for wear for the next day, I decided not... Thursday I made everyone wait until I received the call from CHI. I think D was ready to kill me, and I can't count how many times I heard "You're phone will ring at the park." or "You can't just wait around, it's not productive.", but believe me it was enough so that I was close to shoving a sock in is mouth. I finally gave up and we went to lunch. Just after lunch Sharon called to let us know that we did not make it through court. I really just wanted to go back to bed and sulk, but I had promised the girls that we would go to Islands of Adventure. I was so happy that I did because we had a blast and it really took my mind off not making it through court.
Friday we were on the road by 6 am to make sure we made it back for The Bean's tennis match. I had decided that I was not going to expect a call from CHI until early next week, but around 1 pm CHI did call and gave the wonderful news. I was shocked but so so so very happy.

so wonderful for you. Can't wait until you can travel to bring her home.
Aweseome! I just caught your post about making it through court. Beautiful little ones you're going to be bringing home very soon! Yeah yeah! (So you think you can dance IS my nieces favorite show;-)
Tennis! What great skill. I'm 27 and can't play tennis-no control.
Anyhow, I think the prom thing'll work out-somehow. I'll post pictures next week, I'm sure.

Today's already a better day.
So, I won't worry too much. :)
Thanks for your comment!
