Today, I am chillin out with SweetPea while D takes The Bean to church (SweetPea still gets pretty nervous in big crowds, so we're waiting a bit longer to take her.) Anyway SweetPea was being really well behaved and playing with her dolls, so I did my short post with The Bean's pictures (which, of course, takes no concentration). Then I thought, with my super brilliant mind no less, that since SweetPea was playing the same room (working on Dora's hair) that I could go ahead and check a few blogs to see what people are up to (this has been a bit difficult lately due to need for my attention).
So I'm all excited because Katy and her husband have just recently (I am several days behind) gotten their referral for twin baby girls and I hear SweetPea anounce "Shin-tay" (PeePee) and head towards the bathroom. This is of no concern, because she is four and she goes "Shin-tay" many times a day with no assistance other than we listen for flush and hand washing. She has actually been very good about making sure she does these things and is a great hand washer... but today, I heard a flush, then hand washing, then several more flushes just as I was posting my comments relaying my uber excitement for Katy. Still it doesn't occur to me that there is a problem (again, aren't I just a flippin' genius). SweetPea comes back in the room and starts singing as she plays with Dora. At that time, I thought 'great I'll check another blog' but then something clicked in my extrordinary mind. Dora's hair was WET. I looked again, and most definitely Dora had WET HAIR.
So off to the bathroom I go, thinking, surely that beautiful four-year uber hand-washer had not done the dirty. Sure enough, the toilet had water all over the seat and there were little Dora hairs floating in it. Dora had most definitely gotten a swirly.
I thought about getting upset about the situation for a split second, then busted out laughing. I walked back into the living room to this:
Then I took SweetPea and Dora to the bathroom and gave her the speech of what and what does not go in the toilet (I'm not sure how much was understood) and I began the cleanup (SweetPea, couch, bathroom, and Dora).
Don't worry Katy, you have a couple of years before you get to have this much fun with your girls!

I can't wait! THats one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I'm sure I will not feel that way when my kids play in the toilet, but today, I love it! Thanks.
