Why do BRATZ look like prostitutes?!?

If you are unfamiliar with Bratz dolls you are lucky. They are the sluttiest looking dolls I have ever seen. It makes me wonder if this line of dolls was conjured up by some middle aged pedophile sicko who thought it would be stimulating (for himself) to get young girls to look like porn stars or hookers. D and I were horrified when we began seeing these dolls in the stores, and now there is a cartoon on Saturday mornings.
The new Bratz movie will be in the theaters soon, and The Bean knows not to ask to go. Unfortunately for her most of her friends will be going and she will be left out. I'm sure she'll survive, but I just wish the issue did not present itself.
Sometimes I wonder if I am being too strict with The Bean on this issue, but I feel confirmed on my stand every time I see one of those dolls.

On another note, we have been getting The Bean ready to start first grade. She is pretty excited about it, but was very concerned when she learned our neighborhood pool would be closing soon. We have gotten most of her school supplies. The list this year is really weird. Here in GA, they actually tell you exactly what color folder, notebook, erasers, and pencils the kids should have. They also give exact brand names for all of the items that they want you to bring. It's really annoying and does not allow the children to show any type of individualism. Next they will be telling us that the children have to wear uniforms. I am totally not cool with this and will fight it like a mad woman. The school district where Pooh previously attended in Kentucky switched to uniforms a couple of years ago. It was a very poor district and the county provided uniforms for the children whose parents could not. I do not believe that is something that is necessary here. The Bean enjoys picking out her clothes each day and I do not want to take that away from her.

Work has continued to exhaust me. I had so hoped when we moved down here that the situation would improve, but it has not; it has gotten worse. My colleagues and I have begun complaining to management and hopefully they will begin to hire more people to provide some relief soon. If not, I believe we will be losing quite a few staff members, thus making my job even more difficult. I, unfortunately, cannot consider leaving because I would have to pay back everything to the company for our relocation.

We are currently waiting for a few of our references to get their letters in to our SW. I mean, seriously people, how hard is it to write a couple of paragraphs about what great parents we are? (just kidding)
