So, after chilling and napping in my room for the day, I finally ran out of food. Since I am intent on not relying on someone else bringing me food, I went down to find some for myself. Here is what I found:
- It was 1/2 hour past Leigh's bath time & Meron's Bedtime
- Leigh was watching a movie
- Leigh was so dirty she smelled (you know the whole kid who has played in the dirt all day smell)
- Meron was pretending to work on her journal while watching the movie
- Upon my entering the room, Doug ordered Meron quit watching tv and finish her journal entry and ordered Leigh to get on her pajamas (I had to inform him that a bath was necessary)
- I, of course, was the one who received the glare from Leigh over the bath requirement
- All of the lights in the house were on
- The bread was open with a piece laying on the counter
- The bathroom door was open, and a child-sized floater was in the toilet sans toilet paper (we all know what this means)
- Leigh & Meron had dirty clothes all over the hallway and bathroom upstairs
- Both of their bedrooms were completely trashed
I am not sure why I let this stuff get to me... but it does. Mostly, I don't understand why this stuff doesn't bother Doug. Needless to say, even though I spent much of today with very few contractions I am now having them about every 10 to 15 minutes again. Honestly, if it weren't for Doug's mother being here, he would be sleeping on the couch tonight. This is not to say she sleeps on the couch (she has Leigh's room and Leigh is sleeping on the extra bed in Ben's room), but I don't want to embarrass him.
One thing I am very happy about is that Leigh came up to visit me several times today. She can be so darn sweet sometimes.

I was reading your list of grievances and my blood pressure was going up. I can't imagine what you felt. I honestly think it's something *wrong* (yeah, I said it) with MOST male humans. My husband asked me why I put dirty towels on my side of the bed on the floor instead of where they belong. I asked him where that was. When he asked for clarification I told him that whether I leave them in the garage (where our washer and dryer are), in the hamper, in the bathroom or anywhere else, they NEVER get cleaned. And he insists on "being responsible for" (ha) laundry.
Men can't see anything. And, I like how Doug straightened up the second you walked in the room. Exactly the way a kid would, right?! lol
